DAM Proud Day

In the spring of 2019, the Oregon State University Foundation put on a 24-hour fundraising event to support the university, its students, and research. To put on an event like this, marketing was used across multiple mediums including print ads, digital ads, and video. For this project, I helped create the main graphic, and implemented its design across all the mediums necessary. The graphic features the words "DAM PROUD DAY" in bold, with the subhead "Beavs give 4-30-19". A silhouette of the mascot (Benny)'s head was used in place of the 'O' to tie it back to Oregon State University.

Our efforts in this campaign resulted in more than 2,700 people contributing to the campaign, raising more than $600,000. This was also an award-winning campaign, which won the Silver Award from CASE in 2020 (Council for Advancement and Support of Education) for "Advancement Practices and Initiatives: Giving Days/Fundraising Events".

The main graphic was created to be versitile and readable at any size. Its simplicity and bold use of the university's brand color "Beaver Orange" makes it pop and grabs the viewers attention.

An alternate version was created with the words entirely in the silhouette of the mascot, which allowed it to be used in more formats.

A full-page ad was included in the Oregon Stater, which is sent out to all OSU alumni.

Graphics were provided across all social media accounts, allowing colleges and departments to bring awareness to the campaign and encourage interactions. Even beyond social media, graphics were created for video screens, digital ads displayed on websites, and as smaller ads in print publications. See below for all the various iterations:
