AI art is a fascinating and terrifying thing in late 2022, but I was excited about the possibilities using it as a tool. The final art for this piece was not AI generated, but my early comps and inspiration were created with the AI art generation tool 'Midjourney'. After sharing the overall style and direction with the client, I then scouted on campus for possible locations to use. I used Adobe Photoshop to digitally "paint" a wintery scene of a location on Oregon State's campus in that same style.

 

They liked the final result so much, they asked for it to be used in the digital holiday video as well. I then made a 'fall' version of the scene, and had it slowly change into winter.
